ICL Industrial Containers is Canada’s leading designer, manufacturer, and supplier of plastic and steel pails. Our roots in the rigid industrial packaging business can be traced as far back as 1916. Over the years, in cooperation with our customers, we have expanded both our product offering and geographic coverage and today we are able to meet the diverse packaging needs of a wide variety of market leading customers throughout Canada and the northern United States.

Our extensive and growing product line includes industrial and institutional plastic and steel openhead pails and tighthead steel pails developed to meet ever changing packaging requirements. ICL’s product line includes a full range of sizes with a variety of closure options. Our product offering includes standard pails as well as pails designed and manufactured to meet stringent UN safety standards for packaging and transporting hazardous materials. Products packaged in our containers include paint and coatings, certain foods, building materials, chemicals, and petroleum products.

ICL’s manufacturing system includes three ISO registered plants and one of the most comprehensive distribution systems in our industry. This ICL plant and distribution system is uniquely situated to assure on-time delivery of premium quality, cost effective products to our customers.

ICL was acquired by BWAY Corporation, the North American leader in general line rigid packaging, in July of 2006. BWAY Packaging, a U.S. division of BWAY Corporation, designs and manufactures a full line of general line metal containers including paint cans, aerosol cans, steel pails, and a variety of specialty cans. BWAY’s U.S. general line plastic packaging division, NAMPAC, designs and manufactures openhead pails, and a variety of blow molded tighthead containers and bottles. Together these two divisions operate 19 plants providing national coverage in the U.S.
