Michael G. Bero
Michael G. Bero is Vice President Commercial Sales, of BWAY Corporation, a leading North American supplier of general line metal and rigid plastic containers.
Mike, who joined BWAY in early 2011 in his current position, oversees all aspects of Commercial Sales, including pricing, strategic marketing, revenue growth and leading the United States Sales team. The team also sells and exports some products to Mexico.
Prior to joining the company, he has held positions in the both the United States and Asia. Most recently, he was a partner in Price for Profit, a privately held management consulting firm working with business-to-business clients driving significant profit improvement through strategic pricing actions.
Mike also spent 14 years with Avery Dennison, with more than six years living and working in Hong Kong both as Marketing Director for the Asia Pacific Region and later as Commercial Director. In Asia, he led the commercial strategy for the global specialty chemicals and performance polymers business unit while also establishing the business platform. Prior to moving to Asia, Mike held positions in sales management, national account management and direct sales. He started his career in sales spending five years with Ameritech Corporation (AT&T) working as an Account Executive.
Mike is a member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. Additionally, he is an accomplished marathon runner and has completed 11 races to date.
