Michael G. Bero
Michael G. Bero, 44, is Vice President Commercial Sales, of BWAY Corporation, a leading North American supplier of general line metal and rigid plastic containers.
Mike joined BWAY in early 2011. In his current position, Mike oversees all aspects of Commercial Sales, including pricing, strategic marketing, revenue and profitability growth and leading the United States Sales Team. The team also sells and exports some products to South America, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
Prior to joining the company, he has held positions in both the United States and Asia. Most recently, he was a partner at Price for Profit, a privately held management consulting firm working with B2B clients to improve their profitability through strategic pricing actions.
Mike also spent 14 years at Avery Dennison, with more than six years living and working in Hong Kong both as Marketing Director for the Asia Pacific Region and later as Commercial Director of the global Performance Polymers Division. In Asia, he led the marketing and commercial strategy for the materials, specialty chemicals and performance polymers businesses, while also building the foundation for a new business growth platform across the region. Prior to moving to Asia, Mike held positions in sales management, national account management and direct sales. He started his career as an account executive spending his first five years with Ameritech Corporation (AT&T).
Mike is a member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Indiana University, Bloomington. Additionally, he is an accomplished skier, biker and runner, completing dozens of races of all kinds, including more than 10 marathons to date.
