Leslie L. Bradshaw

Leslie L. Bradshaw, 51, is Vice President Purchasing of BWAY Corporation, a leading North American supplier of general line metal and rigid plastic containers.

Les, who assumed his current position in 2009, oversees global sourcing, including negotiating contracts for raw materials such as steel and resin; purchasing all other materials; and managing inventories. He directs teams managing the resin and steel buys, and Logistics, which includes all in bound and out bound freight.

Les joined joining BWAY in 1997 as a plant controller in New Jersey. During 15 years with the company, he has progressed through a range of roles including Vice President & General Manager for the Aerosol business with profit and loss responsibility, Director of Materials Management & Operations Analysis, and Division Controller to name few. Along the way, his contributions to the business have ranged from implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning system across plants, enhancing and standardizing monthly plant financial analysis, and developing cost effective raw material sources to negotiating successful sales and supply agreements.

Prior to BWAY, Les spent two years with Tiffany & Co. of Parsippany, New Jersey, serving as Cost Accounting Supervisor for both jewelry and specialty manufacturing. Responsibilities there ran the gamut of financial analysis and reporting, cost accounting and developing systems to more efficiently manage shop floor data, among others.

He is a member of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).

Les holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Additionally, Les maintains an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) status in the state of Virginia.
